Mr H. (Alloy suspension seatpost, Alloy frame)

posted Aug 20, 2015, 12:55 AM by John and Yvonne

When I made a mess of trying to remove the seat post from my Cannondale I thought it would have to be scrapped. I tried hammers, chisels, saws and lots of WD40 and a bench vice. The alloy suspension post (what was left of it) was seized solid. I searched the Internet and found the Seatpost Man. Excellent communication and excellent service. It was a tough job so I had to pass a couple of hours before picking up the bike again. When I did, wow, the paint was no worse than any damage I'd done, the frame was in better shape than I left it and the inside of the seat tube was like new. He even helped me with measurements for a replacement post and clamp (both were spot on by the way). I can't recommend the seat post man highly enough. I hope I don't need his services again but I will not hesitate to call on him if I do. Very highly recommended.
